ÅOOMI in the World: Otaku Eatery, Dubai
Otaku is built around creating a space inspired by Japanese design — minimal, warm, and cozy. We want people to feel inspired the moment they walk in while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. It’s a balance between aesthetic simplicity and a welcoming atmosphere that makes the experience feel natural and memorable.
We receive all kinds of guests, including locals and international visitors, and they are all drawn to the design and overall vibe of the space. We want every guest to enjoy not just the food, but the full experience — feeling comfortable, inspired, and connected to the atmosphere.
Is there one item on your menu that you feel truly represents your café: something you personally return to again and again? All the items on our menu are special to us, but we usually recommend trying our desserts, especially the Japanese pancakes, as they truly reflect our concept and are a guest favorite.
We were drawn to ÅOOMI because of its subtle yet distinctive design language. Your ceramics feel thoughtful and tactile, with a strong identity that complements our Japanese-inspired aesthetic while maintaining a cozy and elegant presentation.
What are your plans for Otaku in the future?
Our vision for Otaku is to grow beyond the local scene and become a name recognized worldwide. We aim to continue developing the concept and sharing our experience with people from all around the world.
