Tell us a little about your background — where are you from, and how did your journey lead you to open Culture Cafe in Warsaw?

I’m originally from Minsk, and my path has always been connected with gastronomy. Back in Belarus, I ran my own restaurant, and it was there that I realized food is not only about taste, but also about emotions and atmosphere. When I moved to Warsaw, I discovered a dynamic city, full of energy and open to new ideas. That’s how Culture Cafe was born — a place where I can combine my experience and vision, creating a space that exists not only on the map, but also in the culture of the city.

We want our guests to leave with a sense of lightness and inspiration.
Culture Cafe was designed as a space for creating emotions and experiences. What kind of feeling would you like your guests to take away after visiting?

We want our guests to leave with a sense of lightness and inspiration. Coffee, food, and atmosphere should come together to create “that moment” which stays in memory. For some, it will be catching up with a friend over a filter coffee, for others a dessert that brings back childhood memories, and for someone else — simply the feeling of being part of the city.

Your menu combines top-quality specialty coffee with creatively and beautifully presented dishes. Where do you draw inspiration for your food and drinks?

Inspiration comes from travels, encounters, and sometimes even music or books. I like to reinterpret classic recipes, giving them a modern twist. Our dishes are always about balance — between flavor and visual presentation — because food should delight both the eyes and the heart. Warsaw itself also plays a big role: it’s a city where different cultures and flavors meet, and we try to reflect that in our menu.

With two locations already in Warsaw, you’ve become part of the city’s coffee culture. How do you see Warsaw as a place for coffee and food lovers?

Warsaw is developing very quickly as a gastronomic capital of the region. There’s so much energy, courage, and experimentation here. People are open to new things, which makes the city incredibly vibrant. Coffee culture in Warsaw can already rival places like Berlin or Copenhagen — and we’re excited to be part of that movement.

We’re honored that ÅOOMI ceramics are part of your space. In your opinion, what role does tableware play in the café experience — and why did you choose ÅOOMI?

Tableware is part of the atmosphere. When a guest holds a cup in their hands, they experience not only the drink, but also the material, the form, and the aesthetics. For us, it’s important that everything feels consistent: coffee, food, interior, and the smallest details. ÅOOMI perfectly reflects our philosophy — minimalism, quality, and a contemporary character. It’s not just tableware, but part of the story we tell every single day.
