Surrounded by Frangipani trees and located in the neighborhood of Jumeirah in Dubai, MILK Bakery greeted us with love, authenticity and the smell of freshly brewed coffee.

MILK has been a long-time part of ÅOOMI Family and it was a very moving and meaningful moment to see them using our ceramic mugs and plates in their beautiful interior located in the neighborhood of Jumeirah in Dubai. We were extremely lucky to finally meet in person the owner and founder of MILK Bakery, Hamda, who welcomed us with a beautiful and empowering story of creating the place and community around it, as well as an ÅOOMI ceramic mug of specialty coffee.

Curious what you can order at MILK Bakery in Dubai? This charming specialty cafe and bakery serves freshly baked pastries, amazing signature cookies (we can easily admit that they are the best that we’ve ever had) and desserts that are sure to satisfy every sweet tooth. During our visit, we especially enjoyed the traditional milk cake served in our HAZE ceramic BOWL (still can’t stop thinking about it) and Zaatar Babka with a side of labneh that looked beautiful on the MESS SMALL PLATE – both were truly delicious.

In addition to the delicious baked goods, MILK Bakery also offers a variety of different breakfast options. During our first visit we fell in love with the sourdough toasts with peanut butter and strawberries or bananas. Both looked great on our LARGE PLATES from DUST and MESS collections. Next time, we definitely want to try fluffy hotcakes and chocolate hazelnut waffles, while sitting by the table drinking flat white from ÅOOMI ceramic mug and reading our favourite KINFOLK as MILK has a great collection of books and magazines on its shelf. The staff in MILK is truly lovely and the baristas are highly skilled, especially when it comes to latte art. It goes hand in hand with the fact that shape of our ceramic mugs were designed to make the whole process of coffee brewing even easier, what makes them perfect for cappucinos, lattes and all other milk based coffees. The bakery’s staff will tell you everything you need to know about the coffee beans, menu, ingredients and recommend you their favourite cake when the choice will be too difficult to make.
NEWS from MILK!

Before we’ll say goodbye to MILK Bakery for now, we’re happy to announce that MILK has recently undergone a renovation and redecoration. The new look is modern but cozy and very beautiful, with a focus on natural beige and earthy colours and wood. You can see the new interior on MILK’s instagram or check out the new look for yourself the next time when you visit Dubai.

Which ÅOOMI ceramic mugs and plates has Hamda, the bakery founder, picked for MILK?

When Hamda, the owner of MILK Bakery, placed her first order for ceramics for her cafe, she selected the MESS collection for its modern and edgy design and mixed it with our classics: delicate DUST and Haze to obtain the perfect balance. This mix of stoneware mugs and plates looked fantastic in the original interior of MILK Bakery, but with the recent renovation and redecoration, Hamda decided to switch to the IRIS collection (our recent favourite). The beige tones of IRIS fit the new, earthy and natural aesthetic of the cafe perfectly and it’s amazing how the new mugs, place and bowls enhance the overall dining experience at the cafe.
