Unfortunately only our mugs have visited Katy yet. The team knows it only online, but it was enough to fall in love with the light, interior and mood, so we really wanted it to be part of our series. The solution just magically appeared when Zach T. Lopez; photographer and art director who also happened to fall in love (with Katy AND our mugs) agreed to visit the place for us. Him and his wife Alexis became part of worldwide AOOMI Family and ordered their first ceramics after sipping their first coffee from MESS in Katy, so it was a very special coincidence.
When we frequent Katy Coffee Lab, we always go with the intention to stay awhile.
We asked Alexis and Zach what they love about Katy and they said: "We love visiting Katy Coffee Lab for their quality coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and attention to detail. When we frequent Katy Coffee Lab, we always go with the intention to stay awhile. We are constantly inspired by the shops’ interiors, the way the natural light that pours in, and the beautiful ceramics by AOOMI that each coffee comes in. The well made ceramic cups immediately elevates the cafe experience and adds so much value to Katy Coffee Lab’s brand."
It goes extremely well with Katy’s philosophy and mission as the coffee shop owners believe that: “Sipping coffee in the gentle embrace of dawn, we find our ‘ikigai,’ our reason for being. In those quiet moments, the intricate beauty of life unveils itself, a symphony of existence, played in sips and breaths, connecting us to a purpose grander than ourselves”
When we look at Fernando Guerrero; Katy’s manager holding our MESS mugs, we smile a little thinking about our little chaos of dots fitting together with the peaceful and simple interior of the coffee shop. And we really, REALLY want to visit.
Sipping coffee in the gentle embrace of dawn, we find our ‘ikigai,’ our reason for being.
